NHLANGANO – Brace yourself for heavy rains, severe thunderstorms, hail and strong winds.
The National Meteorological Service of Eswatini has issued a weather warning for heavy rain showers and severe thunderstorms expected to sweep across the country today, from noon to 8pm. The department advised the public to take precautions as the thunderstorms are likely to be accompanied by strong winds, hail and severe lightning. The rainfall distribution is expected to be widespread across most areas of Eswatini. Earlier today, the Eswatini Meteorological Service issued a warning of heavy rainfall across the country from Monday to today.
The department cautioned residents about the risks of flooding, landslides and hazardous road conditions.
