A facebooker posted a message on November 14, 2024 reads: “On a serious note, friends, comrades, foes, what really happened to the lad Sakhile ‘Oros’ Msibi. I have been following the American prince, Mandla Dlamini, for a while now and the evidence suggesting Oros is alive in the US isn’t satisfactory.”

Contrasting this information is members of the progressives in Eswatini, who are adamant that he is a dead man, allegedly killed by the State. For the longest time, it must be said that progressives have perpetuated this narrative, even going so far as to label him a martyr of sorts. They have placed him on the same level as the late Thulani Maseko, who was mysteriously shot and killed by unknown individuals during the height of the unrest in Eswatini.
Even though there is no evidence, the State has been widely blamed for Maseko’s killing, and progressives have also accused the state of responsibility for the alleged death of the celebrated socialite Oros. However, these claims have been thoroughly debunked, as Sakhile continues to thrive and make his mark in the global entertainment industry.
During our conversation, he also took time to address the rumours that he is dead and also addressed progressive stalwart Nkosi. “I do not know that man;, I have never heard of him, I have never met him and I do not know why he is talking about me. Angimati nekumati lo Monty. I do not know this Monty guy,” he said. He also said he did not care about Monty.
He said he will soon come to the country and revealed his plans to do a documentary about his life. “I am working on the documentary already and I need you to blast it. It is going to be crazy,” he said. “It will be real good,” he said.
As he talked to us, ‘Oros’ was jovial and full of life. “I will be coming to Eswatini soon. Ngitota kakho mosi (jokingly meaning, i’ll come to your place),” he said.
Ambition
Hailing from Eswatini, ‘Oros’ brings with him the rich cultural heritage and values of his homeland. His upbringing instilled in him a deep sense of resilience, community and ambition. These qualities have been instrumental in his journey as he navigates the bustling streets of New York. ‘Oros’s life in New York is a testament to his adaptability and determination. Whether he is working on professional endeavours or engaging with the community, he embodies the spirit of a modern global citizen.
New York, with its melting pot of cultures, has provided Sakhile with a platform to connect with diverse individuals and share his unique perspective. ‘Oros’ is not just living in New York; he said he is thriving. His contributions to his field and the community reflect his commitment to making a difference. Known for his innovative ideas and collaborative approach, he continues to inspire those around him. That is what we gathered during our talk.
Looking ahead, ‘Oros’ envisions a future where he can bridge the gap between his roots in Eswatini and his life in New York. Through his work, he hopes to foster cross-cultural connections and create opportunities for others to succeed. For those who know Oros, his journey is a source of inspiration and he does care about what they say about him on social media. In fact, he has not appeared on Facebook to debunk the notion that he was murdered.
