2 CARS ROLL INTO DITCH AFTER OIL SPILL ON ROAD

MBABANE – Two accidents occurred yesterday along the Dalriach- Pine Valley Public Road due to an oil spill on the road, resulting in them rolling into a ditch.

A blue Toyota RunX was driven by Emmanuel Langa (56), who was accompanied by his 25-year-old son. Langa explained that he was driving from town to Pine Valley. He said he tried to control his vehicle but failed. He said his car swerved off the road, hit trees and rolled into a ditch.
He stated that his son, who was in the car with him, sustained injuries to his back.

“I suspect he was injured when the car rolled into the ditch,” he said. His son was taken to hospital by emergency services. Langa discovered after the accident that there was an oil spillage on the road, which he believes caused the accident. He also mentioned that shortly before his car went off the road, another vehicle was pulled out of a ditch on the other side of the road, also reportedly due to the oil spill. The Police Information and Communications Officer Senior Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed the two accidents. She stated that both accidents are suspected to have been caused by the oil spillage and urged drivers to exercise caution.
