MBABANE - A significant amount of cash, totalling E223 960, has reportedly been stolen from Nedbank’s Mbabane Corporate Place Branch.

According to an insider, the incident occurred on March 31, 2025, at approximately 5:08pm. The source further indicated that the money, which had been deposited by the Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) earlier that day, was not properly processed by a cashier. The cash was allegedly not entered into the bank’s system and was not handed over to the cashier’s supervisor.

The discovery of the missing funds was made by an individual affiliated with the operations manager of Mbabane Corporate Place. The matter was immediately reported to the police, who are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the large sum of money. Authorities are currently working to determine how the cash was removed from the bank and who is responsible for the alleged theft. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to be released as they become available.
