MBABANE – Former Minister of Natural Resources and Energy, Dumsile Sukati is the country’s new High Commissioner to the United Kingdom.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Lutfo Dlamini said Sukati joins the other list of new and reshuffled envoys.

A government gazette issued out on May 18, 2010 confirms the appointments.

The minister said it was His Majesty’s pleasure to announce the appointment of country’s new ambassadors.

Sukati had a legal battle with her husband whom she wanted the court to force to restore conjugal rights. The husband told the court that the ex-minister was abusive to him in that the she would now and then assault him for no apparent reason.

As regards her new appointment, Sukati will be based in London and she would be in charge of the Court of St James, United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

Among the new envoys whose appointments was publicised earlier in the week is former Mbabane Swallows goalkeeper and Kenya Six student Zwelethu Mnisi, a son to the late Mhambi Mnisi who managed the 1984 Cyclone Domonia Fund. Mnisi has been posted to the United Nations where he is taking over from another former Mbabane Swallows management committee member Joel Nhleko.

Nhleko has since been moved to the Kingdom of Belgium and European Union and he would be based in Brussels. Former envoy to Belgium and former Minister of Education and Foreign Affairs Solomon Dlamini was moved to Republic of South Africa and he would be based in Pretoria.

Other appointed envoys include former PS in the Ministry of Economic Planning Ephraim Hlophe who was moved from the United States of America to the United Arab Emirates. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs Abednego Ntshangase takes over from Hlophe. He would be resident in Washington DC.

King’s Office Chief of Protocol Felizwe Dlamini was appointed to Qatar. The country has just established diplomatic relations with the country and he is the country’s first ambassador to the oil rich state.
