493 baptised at Manzini prayer
MANZINI – Her Royal Highness Inkhosikati LaDube could not see Pastor Justice Dlamini’s service to the end because of a light drizzle at the Old Trade Fair ground.
Her Royal Highness was among over 1 000 people who attended the service themed ‘Manzini for Jesus’.
The services that began on Friday night were hosted by Mbabane Worship Centre, a church under the leadership of Dlamini.
It started drizzling a few minutes after Pastor Justice reached the podium.
As it rained LaDube was seen putting on her jacket.
A few minutes later, she was escorted to her car. She then left the venue.
As this happened, Pastor Justice was prea-ching on stage.
As the Inkhosikati approached the main gate, the rain stopped.
However, she did not return.
Apart from this, the drizzle did not disturb the service as most of those who attended continued to listen to the pastor preaching.
Some of them even took out their umbrellas.
Pastor Justice said the rain would not disturb the service as God was on a mission to save his people.
God
"It can rain in other places but not here as God is in this place and is indeed at work," he said
Before LaDube left, she had the opportunity to watch a splendid performance by Shongwe and Khuphuka Saved Group, an up tempo gospel ensemble led by Reverend Elias Shongwe.
After this performance, Shongwe offered two CDs of his latest album to the Inkhosikati and Pastor Justice.
In his sermon, Pastor Justice said the prayer services were specifically to help those who were facing problems and who need to be helped by God.
challenged
"There are many people who are challenged and need God to help them," he said.
"Some of you are sick and need God to deliver you. I must say today is the day for your deliverance. God loves you and indeed He will help you solve all the problems and challenges you are facing."
The charismatic pastor said people should understand that God had given them the opportunity to be free from captivity.
"It is time people take this opportunity of accepting Jesus Christ into their lives," he said.
"God is here and wants to help those who believe in Him. It would be better if all of you would accept Him and be freed in order to save the rest of the nation."
During the same service, 493 people were baptised. Most of them were those who repented on Friday and yesterday morning.
The baptism was held at Ngwane Park.
However, Pastor Justice did not attend as he delegated some of the church leaders to do so because he was supposed to continue preach-ing at the Old Trade Fair.
Lunch was provided to the poor while some were prayed for. The meal consisted of rice or samp with beef, which was served in foam plates. Counselling was also provided.
Those who had accepted the Lord were advised to go to their respective churches and fellowship while those who had no churches were invited to join the Worship Centre.
