MBABANE – Apostle Jeremiah Dlamini has hit back at the League of Churches; wondering who had the audacity to challenge what God says to him.

Apostle Dlamini wondered if the League of Churches was aware who sent him to relay his message about the ungrateful Cabinet minister. He was responding to a statement made by the League of Churches President Bishop Samson Hlatjwako, who told the apostle to come out in the open and declare the source of his powers, saying he was off the mark to demand appreciation if the powers emanated from God, but if he ‘bought’ the powers, it was right.

A livid apostle wanted to meet Bishop Hlatjwako to clarify his side, having earlier on said he would not address the bishop in the media, thus proposing a meeting on Tuesday. Bishop Hlatjwako declined the proposal because he said there was no need to meet Apostle Dlamini face to face since they had not crossed each other’s path.

“I simply questioned him over the ‘thank you’ demand. We are not at ‘war’ with him. I have no ill-feelings towards him,” Hlatjwako said. In response, Apostle Dlamini said he wanted to explain why he was encouraging appreciation from the people he prayed for.

“It’s not prudent for leaders to speak about issues they don’t understand. They should investigate and find the truth first before making comments,” the apostle said. Apostle Dlamini wondered if Bishop Hlatjwako grasped the gist of his statements, saying he only spoke what God had told him to say.
“God said there were two prominent people including a Cabinet minister whom I prayed for but they did not return to show appreciation. That night God spoke to me, I texted the two whom God had spoken about but they haven’t responded to date despite numerous unanswered phone calls I made,” Dlamini said. He quoted a verse in Luke where Jesus healed 10 lepers but only one returned to thank God.

“Jesus asked where the nine healed lepers were. Note that the one who appreciated, came to God not anywhere else,” he said. He wondered why the bishop was challenging him because he was sent by the Almighty. Apostle Dlamini said Bishop Hlatjwako should appreciate that there were many different denominations which were bound to function in different ways. As such he said he would not blame certain sects and religions because he understood what doctrine meant.
