Souza tops the whole country
MBABANE — Former Lugongolweni Member of Parliament Joseph Souza had the highest number of votes in the Lubombo region amassing a whopping 1 762 votes.
In fact Souza amassed the highest votes in the primary elections in the entire country according to early results released by the Elections and Boundaries Commission (EBC) yesterday.

Another impressive candidate is former Swaziland National Association of Teachers (SNAT) President Phineas Magagula who got 1 197 under Lomahasha chiefdom.
Also to compete with Maga-gula from Shewula chiefdom will be one Ndumiso Masimula who managed to get 1 056 votes.
From Malindza, an aspiring MP who is in contention of replacing Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mtiti Fakudze, is Sikhumbuzo Dlamini who was able to get 918 votes.
Sanele Gina an aspiring Lubuli MP is also expected to give former Lubulini MP Timothy Myeni a run for his money as he received 833 votes compared to Myeni’s 246 votes.
Relatively unknown Moses Vilakati scooped the highest number of votes in the Manzini region.
Vilakati who is from Ndida community under Ntondozi Inkhundla got 785 votes and will meet former MP of that area Peter Ngwenya who won at Gebeni with 258 votes.
According to the primary elections results released by the EBC yesterday Lobamba Lomdzala MP Marwick Khumalo was the second highest in the Manzini region as he amassed 756 votes at Mahlanya chiefdom.
In the preliminary results issued by the EBC Minister of Tourism and Environmental Affairs Mduduzi ‘Small Joe’ Dlamini had the highest votes in the Shiselweni region.
However, a majority of the MPs results from the Shiwelweni region had still not been fully compiled, but another former MP who received a high number of votes was Mtsambama MP Mlamuli Dlamini.
New comer Mabulala ‘Bakhan-yisile’ Maseko and aspiring Member of Parliament under Maphalaleni received the highest number of votes in the Hhohho region.

Maseko, who is a head teacher at Ekuvinjelweni High School, got 1 172 votes, making him the highest according to the preliminary results.
Another candidate who received high votes was Phesheya Hlatsh-wako of Siphocosini.
He will compete in the secondary elections with former Motshane Member of Parliament Robert Magongo who also got an impressive 773 votes under Nduma chiefdom.
Timphisini MP hopeful Mphucuko Mamba recorded 729 votes.
Minister of Labour and Social Security Lutfo Dlamini also received a high number of votes at 656 and Mefika Shabangu of Mkhuzweni amassed 608 votes.
