MBABANE – It’s promotions galore at His Majesty’s Correctional Services. A total of 51 officers have been promoted by Isaiah Mzuthini Ntshangase, the Correctional Services Commissioner. Senior Superintendent Bongani Khumalo, the PRO of the Correctional Services, yesterday confirmed the promotions. Khumalo said the promotions were with effect from the beginning of this month.

He noted that, in a proper organisation, it was every employee’s dream to be elevated to another level.
He said logic dictated that a highly motivated worker would definitely deliver to the best of his abilities.
“I trust and hope that the newly-promoted officers would offer high service delivery much to the expectations of their superiors,” Commissioner Ntshangase stated.

Khumalo said the promotions had been necessitated by vacancies created either by the retirement of officers from the service or death.
“Also, the promotions have been a result of growth and development of the service and strategic plan which focuses, inter alia, on fundamental areas in penal reform, representing the Correctional Services strategic focus, and transforming it into a vibrant service by creating a conducive environment for the administration of justice, security, rehabilitation and integration,” reads a statement from the Correctional department.

Ntshangase, as per the press release, has congratulated the newly-promoted officers and urged them to double their efforts in the execution of their duties.
He said the officers were expected to exert more effort in their work in order to help the kingdom realise the vision of attaining the First World Status in 2022.

Muhle Dludlu, who once led the Correctional Services football team – Green Mamba – as Chairman, has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Commissioner together with Raymond Nkambule.
The duo has been promoted from the rank of Senior Superintendents.
