MYLES MUNROE DIES IN PLANE CRASH

MBABANE – World renowned Man of God Myles Munroe, who a year ago was in Swaziland, was killed when his executive jet crashed as it attempted to land at the Grand Bahama.
The plane crashed as it approached the island of Grand Bahama, killing all nine people on board.
Apostle Robert Kasaro, who once invited Munroe as a guest speaker at the Jesus Calls Worship Centre International during the church’s ‘God’s Priority’ themed sermon said Munroe was not a complicated man.
“I will forever treasure the jubilee message he sent me in February when I turned 50,” Kasaro said.
Apostle Kasaro said Munroe was a great inspiration to the body of Christ. He said the death of the man of the cloth was a loss not only to the island of Bahama but to the country as a whole.
“He gave us strong leadership skills and after each meal we shared in his two visits to our church, he would give me wisdom.”
Kasaro recalled the time he spent with Monroe, an author of over 100 books, and said he was a humble man. He said Munroe, during his visit, easily mingled with the congregants.
While hosted by the JCWC, Munroe once said: “Swaziland is my favourite Kingdom on earth and I am so pleased to be back at home. The King required my presence this week, he demanded that I come. It looks like you will be seeing me over and over again,” said Dr. Munroe.
These views were shared by Princess Ncengencenge. She said the deceased 60-year-old had declared the country her second home.
The princess, who is also an appointed Member of Parliament (MP), said she was finding it hard to cope with the sad news.
“I’m too devastated!”
She said Munroe spoke great of the country as he once said it was the last hope for God in the world.
Chief Mgwagwa Gamedze, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said the demise of the president and founder of the Bahamas Faith Ministries International (BFMI) and Myles Munroe International (MMI) was saddening.
Gamedze said Munroe was an ally to the country and highest authority. He had afforded government officials empowering leadership skills during his two visits into the country.
Munroe died when the Lear 36 Executive Jet he was travelling in crashed while attempting to land around 5pm in Freeport, according to a statement from the Ministry of Transport and Aviation in his native land.

The crash occurred as people were gathering in Grand Bahama for the 2014 Global Leadership Forum. The Bahamas Tribune newspaper reported that Munroe, a prominent Bahamian minister who organised the event, was killed along with several people in his entourage.
The cause of the crash has not yet been determined though there had been heavy rain across the region.
The Myles Munroe International posted this message on Facebook yesterday morning: “Dear Facebook Friends. On behalf of Myles Munroe International and ITWLA.
“We would like to inform you that the Global Leadership Forum will continue. The Forum will be for two and a half days (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning). This is what Dr. Munroe would have wanted. Please keep his family and the ministry in prayers.”
