I'm staying at COSMOS - Taribo'

MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows may as well forget about recalling striker Mfanafuthi ‘Taribo’ Bhembe as the player has said he is not moving an inch from Jomo Cosmos.

Bhembe was responding to an article published by this newspaper on Tuesday, which said his team, Swallows, wanted him back from South Africa’s Jomo Cosmos, where he already has a contract and earns a salary.
“I read that article but it’s not really possible. I’m very patient and happy to be here at Jomo as I know that soon I’ll be playing,” he said.

He explained that the Premier Soccer League (PSL) has its own rules pertaining player registration, which is what was keeping his boss, Jomo Sono, from paying the local teams their clearance fees.

He said the rules only allow for such payment once the paperwork has all been sorted out.
“Besides, I also signed a contract with Jomo Cosmos, which is binding on both parties and so far I’m happy with the way things are going. I’m also looking at having the paperwork ready in about two weeks then everything will be fine and I know Jomo will settle the bills for all of us,” he said.

Swallows’ secretary Sibusiso Manana, who was quoted as saying they were giving up on the deal, said they were still waiting for Jomo to contact them.
On another note, ‘Taribo’ said all Swazi internationals at Jomo Cosmos in the likes of Felix Badenhorst, Mpendulo ‘Baiano’ Kunene and Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini were doing well and Felix was expected to debut next week once his registration was complete.

‘Baiano’ and ‘Taribo’ are still to wait a bit longer before they can play, while Siza was expected to feature last night against Bloemfontein Celtic.
