MBABANE –   Companies and individuals have joined hands in the prestigious King’s Super Cup by pumping in E750 000.

Inyatsi Construction, Stefanutti Stocks and Kukhanya Construction donated a lion’s share of the amount, forking out E200 000 each in front of His Majesty King Mswati III at Lozitha Royal Palace last night.

The money is in support of next Saturday’s historic one-day tournament featuring South Africa’s soccer heavyweights, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates.

The games will be played at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The King applauded the companies and individuals for joining hands in the festivities when he acccepted the pledges.
Other donors were fast growing athletics club, Golden Foot, Swaziland Railway, Crime Stop and Prince Sicalo, among others.

Minister of Public Works and Transport, Lindiwe Dlamini, who announced the funders assured that more people had promised to come on board.
The delegation was led by ministers that included Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs’ David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala as well as committees and sub-committees organising the tournament.

Tickets costing only E250 will be sold at Shoprite outlets from today. VIP tickets cost twice the amount.
