CLASH OF THE TITANS AS FLAG MEETS ROMEO

MBABANE – Talk about jumping from the pot into the fire.

The country’s highly rated pool player Flag Nxumalo’s fixture today is exactly that – the equally good Romeo Da Silva is his rival. The former teammates at the then dominant Jay Zee under Manzini not long ago, meet at 11am today at The George Hotel pool arena renowned as Egg Yolk. Nxumalo did not have a good day on the table last weekend when he lost two games that saw his runaway lead levelled.

Of the three games he played, he lost 5-6 twice and won one 6-0 which helped remain at the summit on better frame difference. He cannot afford any more slip-ups now as the competition reaches its climax with three to four players still equally in with a chance.

He snoozes against Da Silva and Celumusa Dlamini in a later game today, then he could be demoted to fourth with Police College star Sifiso Dlamini and Menzi Ngomane set to capitalise but they both have tough fixtures also against Tasco Dlamini and Police College’s Norman Khoza respectively.
