NKONYENI DUO MAINTAIN LEAD

MBBANE – Team Nkonyeni Pre-Cast A has maintained its cutting edge in the Inyatsi Swazi Frontier Mountain Bike (MTB) stage race.


The pair of Leonardo Van Onselen and his father, Linus, cruised to another win in 03:03:20 hours yesterday ahead of the decider this morning. They endured another 60km lap from Bulembu Coutnry Lodge to Pigg’s Peak Hotel.


 On stage one on Thursday, the daring duo had reached the winning point after 04:04:57 hours. The first stage of the race was from Hawane Resort to Bulembu.
Off-road races ace, William Kelly, and his equally forceful partner, Che Lue, on the other hand, ended up second on day two. They were fourth after day one.


Meanwhile, Nadine Stein and Retha Harding from Team Swazi Girls clocked 03:46:38 hours to remain in pursuit of a gold medal in the ladies’ pairs.
Today marks the final leg. The competitors will race from Pigg’s Peak Hotel to Maguga Lodge from 7am.
