BOXING TOURNEY AT UNISWA ON SATURDAY

MBABANE – In readiness for about three international youth events next year, the Swaziland Boxing Association (SWABA) will on Saturday host a boxing tournament at the University of Swaziland’s Ligcabho LeMaswati Sports Emporium.


According to SWABA Secretary General Thabsile Mngometulu, the tournament is open to all pugilists at age and weight categories.
“It must be noted that we are continuing to use these tournaments to identify potential talent as we target a pool of youth boxers from which we will select the national team from for three international events next year,” Mngometulu said.


The international events are the ANOCA Games, to be staged in Algeria, July 19-28, 2018, Youth Olympic Games in Argentina, October 2018 and the Africa Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5 Games in Gaborone, Botswana in December 2018.
