CITY THROWN INTO ‘DEEP BLUE OCEAN’
MBABANE – Hapless and win-less Midas City are expected to swim across the ‘Deep Blue Ocean’ in search of their first win of the campaign.
Midas City, who are enduring a frustrating start, look lost like an octopus in a garage at this stage. Artwell Dludlu’s charges have suffered defeats in all their seven opening games.
Against Matsapha they will hope to be like a tea bag in hot water. You get the best out of a tea bag if it is dipped into hot water. Matsapha, on the other hand, will be eager to stretch their unbeaten run to eight matches.
They cannot afford a slip-up if they want to remain in chase of the E350 000 first round ‘carrot.’ It is a mismatch on paper, but the visitors will hope to take advantage of the opponents’ depleted squad. Two of Matsapha’s players, goalkeeper, Khanyakezwe Shabalala, and full-back, Sifiso ‘Tjovitjo’ Maseko, are suspended by the National Football Association of Swaziland, while trusted import, Siphamandla Dlamini, has twisted his ankle.
