MAXI MUSIC HOST WITBANK MASTERS IN SOCIAL TOURNEY

MBABANE – Some yesteryear’s players will dust their soccer boots to feature in a social football tournament on Saturday.

Maxi Music Social Team will host Witbank Masters at Manzini Club, starting at 2pm. According a correspondence from the hosting club’s Group Administrator, Emmanuel Nxumalo; Timbutini, Lozitha and Gree social teams were also roped in. “They (Witbank Masters) usually host us, so it’s a return match. “Recently, we were hosted by Mozambique and we conquered as we came back with the trophy. All-Star Ladies stars had accompanied us too,” said Nxumalo. The participating teams will play 30-minute games and enjoy roasted meat during the festivities.

Meanwhile, Maxi are one of the oldest social teams in the country and one of the founder members is former PLS Chairman, Sipho Matse. They boast over 10 years experience. Notable players include former Moneni Pirates stars, Bhanyaza Jele, Osborne ‘Ozila’ Nzima, National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) CEO Frederick Mngomezulu, former Mbabane Swallows defender Hitman Mabuza and goalkeeper Nhlanhla ‘
