MBABANE – Well travelled Tambuti goalkeeper Thokozani Mkhulisi has joined Green Mamba.

The shot-stopper started training with Caleb Ngwenya side at their Matsapha Correctional College base on Monday and was registered with the National Football Association of Swaziland (NFAS) yesterday after ‘Inyok’eluhlazana’ finalised transfer talks with Tambuti.
Mkhulisi, a former Sihlangu, Mbabane Swallows and Manzini Sundowns goalkeeper comes in as reinforcement in the goalkeeping department to keep Colani ‘De Nice’ Mngometulu on his toes.

“Mkhulisi is now our player and depending on the coaches, he should be in our match-day squad tomorrow (today),” said Green Mamba Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Thami Phakathi.

The Correctional Services outfit welcome struggling Red Lions this afternoon at Somhlolo National Stadium in a match that precedes that Young Buffaloes clash with Malanti Chiefs.

Green Mamba are mounting a serious challenge for a respectable finish in the MTN log following the arrival of Ngwenya from Vovovo halfway through and are currently third place with 34 points from 18 matches.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Highlanders are sweating over the registration of South African striker Thabiso. The former University of Pretoria striker comes highly rated and is expected to fill the void left by Mfan’fikile ‘Fash’ Ndzimandze who joined Mbombela United in the South African National First Division.

The ‘Black Bull’, however, are expected to unleash former Red Lions centre half Thami Zulu and left footed Young Buffaloes development product Khayelihle Manana who has signed from Manzini Super League side Ludzeludze Killers.
