LOBAMBA – The late Mbabane Swallows Chairman Victor ‘Maradona’ Gamedze was given a perfect send-off.

What with a hard-fought win by his lads against an unlucky Royal Leopard at Somhlolo National Stadium this past Sunday. “This was the hardest game and win for us ever. At least we managed it and it helps us as we must keep Gamedze’s legacy alive,” he said. He said they had endured a tough week at training having to put up brave faces.

“This win is also one that shows respect for our late chairman,” he said while also thanking the fans for coming out in their numbers as they needed their support.
His teammate and Man of the Match Award winner Sandile Hlatshwako dedicated his award to the team.

“The win belongs to Gamedze but this award is for the team as I couldn’t do it alone,” he said. He said winning their first game without Gamedze was vital as they needed to retain their respect.
