WANDERERS FANS TO RAISE FUNDS WITH SWAZI MOBILE

MBABANE – Hub giants Manzini Wanderers and Swazi Mobile are inseparable.

This comes after the two parties reached an agreement to register supporters through an SMS, in return, the club will benefit financially. This exclude the E650 000 per season that the team receives from the mobile network company.
Wanderers National Supporters Committee (NSC) member, Sandile ‘Ntofo’ Dlamini said for a fan to send the SMS they need to own a Swazi Mobile sim card. He said the team will benefit from all the proceeds of the text message which will cost 50 cents.

“A text message line has been set up for the team to raise funds for the club. This will also help the sponsor (Swazi Mobile) to collect the fans’ information. Each fan is expected to SMS 2020 to 79000222. Each SMS costs E0.25 and the balance will be added by the sponsor to make it E50 that goes towards the team’s coffers,” he said.

Dlamini said each fan will register by replying with names and National ID number.
“We will extract data weekly for reporting and further processing. The supporters in the last meeting wanted ways of generating funds for the club and through Swazi Mobile we have made it possible,” he said.
