MBABANE – A goal to savour! Royal Leopard’s striker, Bonginkosi ‘Manyovu’ Dlamini can count his lucky stars as his last gasp goal against Namibia’s ‘Brave Warriors’ has now paved the way for him to be attached at one of South Africa’s glamour teams, Orlando Pirates.

Pirates are currently riding the crest of the wave in the ABSA Premiership, nicely perched on second place on the log, four points behind leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. Historically, they are one of the biggest teams in South Africa and most successful teams on the African continent.

The ‘Buccaneers’ have reportedly agreed to facilitate a week-long attachment for the lanky marksman in July, which could culminate into much bigger and better things.

The deal has been facilitated by former Sihlangu manager Josiah ‘Digger’ Dlamini and Pirates’ Administrative Manager, Floyd Mbhele. The good news was delivered to the player at Sigwaca House yesterday by a panel that included Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs David ‘Cruiser’ Ncamphalala, FA Chief Executive Officer Frederick Mngomezulu and Leopard Manager Mxolisi Dlamini.

The former Sihlangu Manager, ‘Digger’, said he saw it wise to facilitate this move due to the importance of the day during which the goal was scored, which was the celebration of the country’s 50th year since attaining independence and also the day the country celebrated His Majesty’s 50th Birthday.
