NINE TEAMS FOR KAMCHOZA BAR BOXING TOURNEY

MBABANE – It will be hooks, jabs, uppercuts, and TKOs in the KaMchoza Bar E5 000 Boxing tournament scheduled for Saturday.

All nine teams under the Swaziland Boxing Association (SWABA) have confirmed participation. The tournament will be hosted by New Boys Boxing Stable. New Boys’ coach, Muzi Shongwe said it is all systems go for Saturday as they were now ready to host the event. He urged teams to keep time so that those travelling from afar are not affected by a late finish.

“Weigh in is at 8am and the tournament begins at noon. We will have awards for ‘Best Boxer’, ‘Best Bout’, and one for the team that will bring the highest number of boxers,” Shongwe said.
Teams that have confirmed participation include Kid Mamba, Zebra Force, Mhlume, Matsapha, Simunye, Malkerns Boxing Club, Big Bend Boxing Club, and the hosts New Boys.

“We urge teams to provide juniors, the youth, and elite boxers because we want all categories to be covered,” he said.
The coach added that his team was ready for the tournament.

He urged the public to cram KaMchoza Bar to witness top class boxing on Saturday. “We expect teams to be hungry for action because we last boxed in January during the National Championships. We are looking forward to a great day of boxing,” he said.
