JABU PULE FOR ‘SPOKO’ TESTIMONIAL MATCH
MBABANE – In a first ever Testimonial Match in Eswatini, the football family stands to watch former Kaizer Chiefs wing wizard Jabu Pule, now Mahlangu, end of this month.
It will be his former teammate at Chiefs and then Swazi international Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini’s testimonial match, a dribbling winger himself in his days of the national team Sihlangu, Royal Leopard and the Naturena Glamour Boys.
“The event to honour our hero will be launched tomorrow (today) at Sigwaca House at 6pm. It will be an exciting launch for the first Testimonial Match in the country, based on its namesake Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini,” Spoko Testimonial Match’s Publicist, Xolani Mhlongo said in press release.
As the statement also states that the match will involve Dlamini and his friends in the country and beyond the borders, he was also questioned who among others was lined up for the game that could be an exciting event.
“It will all come out at the launch but a number of players in the country and outside have shown interest and will be here. And as much as you say Pule was his best friend at Chiefs, I can’t confirm any names before the launch but it’s an exciting line-up,” he said.
In the statement, he continued to say; “We are eager in telling you all about it and how it is going to unfold, as a story is told once again with one of our country’s golden generation, who is honoured and celebrated by his friends, here and beyond our borders.”
He said they wanted to share with the public their long-term goals for this project beyond the Testimonial Match which is within their vision and mission, as it was time the story was told.
