SILVER MEDAL FOR GOLDEN FOOT IN COMRADES

MBABANE – The country’s biggest athletics club, Golden Foot, was not left out in the 2018 Comrades Marathon as they brought home one silver medal.

Through Ronnie Mawelela, who finished ahead of all his teammates on 6:58 hours, they brought home the silver medal. Golden Foot had sent 19 athletes to the 90.184km road race, and they all got medals with the rest of the team earning bronze.

The club’s Chairperson, Tokky Hou, said they were proud of their athletes as they all made it to the finishing line.
“Competing in the Comrades Marathon motivated our athletes ahead of the KwaMagogo 10km race scheduled for next Saturday. The athletes will be showcasing their medals as part of the fun,” she said.
