NZAMA PROMISES FIREWORKS AS FREDERICKS JOINS SA LEGENDS
MBABANE – Former South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs Captain Cyril Nzama has promised fireworks ahead of today’s clash between SA Legends and Swazi Legends.
The match will be played at the Mavuso Sports Centre at 2:30pm. In an interview on local radio yesterday, Nzama said this game to them is no different to a clash between South Africa and Sihlangu. He said they met the local legends in many such matches in the past, and would not be taking things lightly in this game.
“We are bringing very gifted players for this game. The likes of Jabulani Mendu, Stanton Fredericks, Thabo Mooki, will be here to entertain the fans. Fans should come in numbers for the game as we are still in shape and are ready to entertain them,” he said.
Nzama is expected to captain the SA Legends. He said when they heard that ‘Spoko’ was planning this match, they decided to support him as a former teammate. He added that he had a good relationship with other local stars in Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina and Siza ‘King Pele’ Dlamini.
“I am also familiar with Jerry ‘Mbazo’ Gamedze as I still remember matches we played against each other in the past. We are looking forward to the game and we definitely will not make it easy for the locals,” he said.
Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini invited local fans to come to the Mavuso Sports Centre to support them. He promised that they would not disappoint as they were also taking the game seriously.
Spoko Testimonial’s chairman Xolani Mhlongo said it would cost only E30 to watch the game.
“We would like to thank the sponsors that have been part of this initiative so far. They include Junior Transport, Premier Bakeries, Dixies International, Corban Hardware, K Gee Services, and all the other people that have donated to make our work a success,” he said.
Mhlongo added that Spoko Testimonial t-shirts will be sold at the venue for a price of E150.
SA’s Black Leopards Director David Thidiela and his family is also expected to attend since ‘Spoko’ played a big part in Leopards’ great days in the Premier Soccer League before his stint at Kaizer Chiefs.
