MBABANE - It will be crunch time in this Saturday’s Eswatini Telecom Charity Cup.

Army side and last season’s SwaziBank Cup champions, Young Buffaloes have a date with hoodoo side Moneni Pirates at Mavuso Sports Centre. Pirates lost 2-1 in the MTN League first round before winning 1-0 in the reverse fixture.

The match will be preceded by the first play-off tie between Malanti Chiefs, who are up for their maiden appearance against Green Mamba at 11am while the former will play at 1pm with winners meeting in decider at 6pm.

The four sides were pitted against the other after a draw held at the sponsor, Eswatini Posts and Telecommunications headquarters. Conducting the draw was the tournament PRO Lington Gule and PLS’ COO Pat Vilakati.

The champions in the play-offs will go on to join Mbabane Highlanders, defending champions Mbabane Swallows and returning Manzini Wanderers in the main event on August 5 at Somhlolo National Stadium.
The draw was held along with the four teams’ kit presentation which was done by the company’s MD Petros Dlamini, who wished all the clubs the best tournament.

“We just watched the World Cup and learned a lot, which we hope to see from the teams in this tournament,” he said.
Meanwhile, all four teams were represented by their officials, mainly the CEOs, who declared the games will be fireworks.
