EZULWINI – Archbishop Bhekibandla Vilakati’s team Seven Dreams have been confirmed as Manzini’s representatives in the National First Division.

The team, which is owned by the leader of Jericho Church, Red Gown Sect, dined with top football officials led by Eswatini Football Association (EFA) President Adam ‘Bomber’ Mthethwa in celebration of their maiden qualification to the country’s football second-tier. The festivities were held at Emfuleni Lifestyle in Ezulwini on Sunday.

The event was coupled with an award ceremony for outstanding players and striker Sandile Dlamini, who used to play for Vovovo and Mbabane City, swept the boards after going home with three gongs including that of being the best player.   He is on loan from Royal Leopard.

The Bishop thanked all stakeholders who assisted them in realising their goal, saying he was preaching Christianity values to the team, stressing that he was against violence.

“We appeal for assistance through sponsorships as running a team costs an arm and a leg. We don’t know what lies ahead because it is our first time to play in this stage,” he said.
The Bishop also thanked the leadership of Don Don FC for continued support following a pledge to buy soccer boots of one of the players, among other things.

Team coach Thobias Ntuli was also honoured for transforming the side from relegation candidates to title contenders.
He assured they would compete in the National First Division.

Several football officials made a stop at the venue and they included Sihlangu coach Anthony Mdluli, Technical Director Boy Bizzah Mkhonta and Women Football Association (WFA) Chairman Sonnyboy Mabuza, among others.
