WE NEED TO WIN HOME GAMES - ‘TT’
NGWENYA – Mbabane Swallows skipper Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze feels winning their next home game will be key in their bid to qualify for the quarter-finals of Africa’s premier club competition.
Interviewed last night at the Oshoek Border Post in Ngwenya on the team’s return from Tunisia, where they lost 0-2 to Etiole du Sahel, the left-footed midfielder stressed that the team were determined to make the cut. Swallows, who are now third in Group D of the CAF Champions League following the setback against the Tunisians, will welcome Zesco United of Zambia on August 18 before travelling to Angola 10 days later. “We’re from an off-season, but we are slowly showing improvement. “It was an improved performance in Tunisia. We’ll do better in the next games,” said ‘TT’.
Asked on the team’s chances of qualifying for the next round, the Sihlangu captain said all was not lost. “We need to win our home game and then we’ll see what happens in Angola. “We want to qualify and everyone in the country shares a similar dream. We have to put the necessary effort to ensure we realise our goal,” he said. Meanwhile, Head of Delegation in Premier League of Swaziland (PLS) Acting Chairman Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula said the trip was fruitful, saying the only letdown was the result.
