MBABANE – The vacant national team, Sihlangu post has attracted coaches all over the world.

The Eswatini Football Association (EFA) received over 100 applications before the deadline for application on Monday.
The coaches include locals and international coaches who all have shown interest in the hot seat.

A source close to the matter confirmed that EFA was receiving application on a daily basis since the advert started running two weeks ago.
The incoming coach will be replacing interim coach Anthony Mdluli who is currently drilling the team at camp.
Mdluli took over from Pieter De Jongh who was sacked in February.

The first assignment for the national team is the AFCON Qualifier against Tunisia on December 6 and the face Egypt in October 10. Sihlangu is in a tough group against Tunisia, Egypt and Niger.

Some highly-profiled coaches who have showed interest in the post include former South Africa’s ABSA Premiership League side Orlando Pirates Kostadin Papic, while local coaches seclude former Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga and Anthony Mdluli.
