IT’LL BE TOUGH BUT POSSIBLE

MBABANE – Before current leaders of Group D Etoile Du Sahel beat Mbabane Swallows 3-0 at Mavuso Sports Centre last month, most emaSwati believed the local side would achieve their quarter-final dream.

That was only because they were second in the group on four points while below them was their final rivals away, Angola’s Club Desportivo and Zambia’s Zesco United on two points apiece. Swallows just had to win or at worst get a point from Etoile at home but it all fell apart, they were outfoxed 3-0. They went on to lose the second spot to third as Club Desportivo beat Zesco 2-1.

The hope lived on though given Zesco was still coming to Eswatini. The Zambians came last week and what happened? Swallows lost 3-0 again within four minutes. They have a trip to Angola for next Tuesday’s clash with Club Desportivo. Do they have a chance? Read on and be the judge;
