HRFA CHAIRMAN NIGEL ELECTED NEW MOTSHANE INDVUNA
MBABANE – He is not only climbing the ranks in the football fraternity but even nationally.
That is Hhohho Regional Football Association (HRFA) Chairman Nigel Shongwe, who was elected the Indvuna Yenkhundla under Motshane, with Mbabane Swallows official Robert Magongo voted as the Member of Parliament (MP).
Another candidate from the HRFA was Ngcinumuzi Mavimbela, who was elected Indvuna Yenkhundla under Siphocosini Inkhundla while he is serving the Sigangeni Football League Chairman.
Shongwe said it’s through hard work that they got elected to improve the country.
“Thanks to the people for seeing us as the right candidates to serve them. I will continue to serve as the Indvuna Yenkhundla and also the HRFA chairmanship,” he said.
Shongwe said as an association, they were happy that majority of their sponsors at regional level were also voted for and majority made it through. Shongwe got 2 188 votes and the next candidate accumulated E1 798 votes, with third candidate getting 1 762 votes.
Shongwe was elected as the HRFA Chairman late August during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Mhlatane High School in Pigg’s Peak. He took over acting Chairman Brilliant Motsa, who was serving for Comfort Shongwe who was elected to the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) as Vice President. He is also the long serving members in the HRFA.
