MBABANE – You reap what you sow. Mangwaneni Primary School yesterday received E10 000 worth of prizes from the Scara Thindwa Foundation. The prizes included a kit, six soccer balls, and 24 bibs, medical kit, a bag, whistles, two set of goalkeeper gloves, and ball pumps.

The presentation was done by the foundation manager, Sethu Sifundza at the school premises.
Mangwaneni Primary were runners-up in the Under-13 tournament that was played early this year.

The champions were Matsapha Government Primary, who pocketed E15 000 worth of prizes while third-placed Hlutse Primary received E5 000 in prizes. The overall package of the Swaziland Royal Insurance Cooperation sponsored tournament was E270 000 this year.
Speaking after the presentation, Sifundza thanked the schools for partnering with them.

“We are happy to present the material to Mangwaneni Primary. We do hope it will go a long way in motivating the children. We also believe the material will help develop talent and we want to thank the schools for affording the children the opportunity to explore their talent through soccer,” Sifundza said. The school was represented by the sports teacher Sibusiso Thwala. He thanked the foundation for sponsoring the schools.

“The kit came at a right time when we needed it the most. It will indeed motivate the children and those who wish to join the sport. The equipment will also enhance their soccer skills,” Thwala said.
He further said as a school they were faced with a number of challenges and some of them included a proper sport ground.
