SITSEBE DROP 8 PLACES IN FIFA RANKINGS

MBABANE – After a dismal performance at the COSAFA Women’s Championship, the Eswatini women national football team have dropped eight points in the latest FIFA rankings.


The world football-mother body released the latest FIFA rankings yesterday and Sitsebe is ranked 140 in the world.
The Fisiwe Hlophe-led charges are ranked 24 in the continent. Despite dropping nine points in the latest rankings, Malawi is placed just above the locals while Botswana is at the bottom after dropping five points.


Nigeria is the leading African nation in the FIFA rankings for women in Africa.
The West African nation is placed in first position in the continent and is position 38 world-wide.


Nigeria is followed by Ghana and Cameroon respectively while neighbouring South Africa is in fourth position.
