VOVOVO FC’S LEON MANYISA OFF TO SPAIN
MBABANE – A life time opportunity has availed itself for Vovovo FC play maker Leon Manyisa who will be joining Spain giants Real Madrid reserve side for trials.
Manyisa is expected to leave the country before the end of the week and he will spend two weeks during the assessment. Vovovo Chairman Tsetla Bhembe confirmed yesterday that their relationships with some officials from Spain who visited the team early this year has started to bear the fruits for them.
Manyisa missed out of the National Under-23 squad that crashed out of the 2019 Under-23 Africa Cup of Nation against Mozambique yesterday after settling for a 1-all draw at Mavuso Sports Center.
Confirmed
Under-23 coach Sifiso Ntibane confirmed yesterday that the player had to drop out of the team to prepare for the trip to Spain.
Bhembe said they were happy with the latest development and they were fully in support of the player.
“Initially three players are set to attend the trial but it was decided that Manyisa be the first to go there. He is a good and disciplined player and we are confident that he will make us proud while there and clinch the deal,” he said.
Bhembe said this was also going to market local football internationally.
