‘BIRDS’ BEGIN LIFE WITHOUT KOLA

MBABANE – Mbabane Swallows are eager to cut leaders Green Mamba’s lead to one point when they welcome Malanti Chiefs at Somhlolo National Stadium tonight.

Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati’s men will begin life without their prolific forward Kola Aledeonkun, who has since completed a switch to Zambian League giants Zesco United. The coach will be forced to parade a depleted squad, as skipper Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze is bereaved while veteran winger Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko has just recovered from a terrible eye injury. Despite the setbacks, the capital city giants will be relieved to face a side that have failed to beat them in four attempts.

celebrated

Malanti last celebrated a win against Swallows in the 2014/15 season.  The former may be blowing hot and cold, but they seem to be slowly getting off the mark following a three-game unbeaten run. Raymond Dlamini’s men look to claim another big scalp following the celebrated 1-0 win over Green Mamba in the last outing. Their hopes will be on trusted Malawi-born import Binwell Katinji, who is in good scoring form. While Swallows are provided with a chance to cement the second spot, it is an opportunity for ninth-placed Malanti to keep the chasing pack in sight.
