(At Luphohlo Dam)
MBABANE – He is maturing with time just like wine. That is 51-year-old swimmer Chris Stapley who swam to victory yesterday during the KPMG Swazi Mile yesterday at Luphohlo Dam outside Mbabane.
He finished the about 1.6km (one mile) in 27:09 minutes, outpacing the over 30 swimmers who took part in the event.
The defending champion, Simanga Dlamini, could not make it due to a shoulder injury and Stapley grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He led from the start to finish.
