WANDERERS CAPTURE NGIDI FOR E90 000!
MBABANE – Manzini Wanderers completed a ‘hat-trick’ at Tambuti after signing the duo of Mpendulo Ngidi and goalkeeper Ncedo Mamba before the end of the second registration window period.
The two players join striker Ohakwe Ogochuku, who was part of the 2-1 win over Mbabane Swallows on Sunday in the MTN Premier League.
They showed their ambition of improving the squad by spending close to E100 000 for the Tambuti Captain, Ngidi, who started to train with the club on Tuesday afternoon.
The second registration window period ends tomorrow at 5pm.
Wanderers Public Relations Officer (PRO) Sandile ‘Ntofo’ Dlamini, confirmed yesterday that the player was now fully registered with the maroon and white outfit and he is ready to make his debut. “We are happy with the highest level of professionalism showed by Tambuti while negotiating over the player, Ngidi. We are so happy to have done business with them. We are confident that the player will assist the team achieve its goal,” he said.
Dlamini said the finances status of the deal was between the directors of the clubs.
Negotiating
He said the team was still negotiating with some teams over other players.
Sources close to the matter said the ‘Weslians’ were also after Vovovo player Leon Manyisa. The source said with the window registration period closing tomorrow, Wanderers were doing all possible to clinch the deal with Vovovo.
Wanderers, under new coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati, have boosted the squad with some few signings, including Johnson Mensah from Matsapha United, who also played against Swallows.
“I cannot confirm any figures concerning the deal but what I know is that he has fully joined the club,” Dlamini said.
A source close to the matter confirmed that Tambuti were demanding over E100 00 but they ended up settling at E90 000 for their captain.
Tambuti PRO Nathi Dlamini confirmed that the two players, Mamba and Ngidi have been cleared to Wanderers.
“The two players were cleared to Manzini Wanderers after fruitful negotiations. We wish them well in their new challenges,” he said.
Dlamini said they have a big squad and players capable of keeping the team in the elite league.
He said it’s true it will not be the same as they have cleared three players to Wanderers including striker Ogochuku.
