MBABANE – Former Mbabane Swallows Nigeria-born striker, Aledeokun Quadri Kola scored and made an assist to inspire Zesco United to a win. Zesco United hosted Nakambala in a rescheduled week two encounter on Wednesday night.

First half goals from Jesse Jackson Were and Kola were enough to seal the three points for the defending champions.
This was yesterday afternoon at Nkana Stadium during their MTN/FAZ Super League encounter where Zesco beat Nakambala Leopards 2-0.
It was the former Manzini Wanderers forward who broke the deadlock seven minutes into the game.

A minute after the quarter-hour mark, Jesse Were scored the winning goal following an assist from Kola.
Kola moved to join the Zambian champions in November last year and was said to receive a monthly salary of E60 000 after reportedly signing an 18-month contract.

The Nigerian will surely hope for more goals as his confidence has been boosted following registering on the scorers’ charts for the first time in an official game since he joined Zesco. Kola was voted the Man of the Match after the game. For his achievement, he got 500 Kwacha, which is about E573, courtesy of the club’s fan club.
