PIGG’S PEAK DERBY IN LAST 16

MBABANE – Northern Hhohho football fanatics will be treated to a Pigg’s Peak derby in the EswatiniBank Cup last 16 clashes.


Premier League side Malanti Chiefs will face National First Division League log leaders Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows in the last 16 of the tournament.
Both teams are based in the small town of Pigg’s Peak in the northern Hhohho region.


Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows were represented by their Director Charles Matsebula, who minced no words in that they have been waiting for this opportunity for a long time.


“We want to show people what they must expect next season when we play in the elite league as we are still challenging. This is one of the biggest games not to be missed by the Pigg’s Peak folk.
“We respect Malanti Chiefs as we are from the same town but in these games, we want to win it at all costs,’ he said.

Malanti Chiefs PRO Lungile Dube said finally the time came where they will play in a competitive tournament against Black Swallows as they had been playing friendly matches. “It will be a different story this time around as we know them through playing friendly matches,” she said.
