E400 000 ZOOM ZOOM FOR PAPIC
MBABANE – The National team, Sihlangu coach Kostadin Papic will be rolling in the new Mazda CX-5 worth about E400 000.
The Serbian coach is currently driving around a demo when executing his duties. Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe confirmed yesterday that the car belonged to the association but it was being used by the coach.
“It is a car that will be used by the coach while he executes his duties in the country and he is already driving it around. The car belongs and it’s a property of the association just like the other cars used by the staff,” he said. A source close to the matter confirmed that for now the coach was driving the demo car but soon the E398 000 worth car will be delivered to him. The price is what the car costs at the Mazda Carson in Manzini.
Papic is currently out of the country with Sihlangu in Tunisia where they are to play the northern Africa country in the AFCON last qualifiers game billed for tomorrow, kick-off 7:15pm (8:15pm local time). It is a norm that EFA purchases a car or hands over one from the fleet to be used by a Sihlangu coach.
Now Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga was driving a Chevrolet sedan. Papic signed a one year contract with EFA and the trip to Tunisia is his first official game having arrived in the country early January. The travelled coach also worked in South Africa where he led Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates.
