NZALO, WINILE IN DUEL

MBABANE – They are both on fire and it will be their third meeting this Saturday during the TZD Sports, Siteki Town Council half marathon.


That is TZD athlete Sithembile Nzalo and Royal Eswatini Police Service’s (REPS) Winile Mnisi who will be both competing for honours in the third half marathon in the country in the year 2019. The race is billed for Siteki/ Mhlumeni road on Saturday starting at 6am.


Nzalo won the last two half marathons being the Yellow Epilepsy Charity race and the Golden Foot ‘Tuff One’ race held at Zakhele Sports Ground, Manzini. Mnisi is fresh from winning the Zululand District ultra-marathon on Sunday in South Africa.


In the men’s category, the battle will be on with new comer Sipho Mndzebele’ having won the ‘Tuff One’ ahead of Melusi Sihlongonyane, Machawe Dlamini, Michael Ndaba and Nkululeko Gama.
The event is not for professionals only but it also accommodates social runners who have the choice of choosing the 21km, 10km and 5km races.
