IT’S ABOUT GLORY AND SURVIVAL!
ROYAL LEOPARD VS. TAMBUTI AT MAVUSO SPORTS CENTRE, 4:10PM
Sugar-belt side, Tambuti were ruthlessly thrashed 4-0 in their own backyard on Wednesday night at Mayaluka Stadium in Big Bend by defending champions Mbabane Swallows.
This certainly left their coach Alou Badara scratching his head as they fell deep into the relegation quagmire. Badara admitted while his team fought hard, they conceded soft goals at times, it was going to be very tough fighting the axe. He must be feeling today’s fixture is like jumping from the pot into the fire – it’s a star-studded and experienced Royal Leopard in their way.
reduced
Leopard also did not have things their way on Wednesday night as they were humbled by Green Mamba with a 2-0 margin at Mhlume and had their five-point lead reduced to two.
As some coaches pointed after the Wednesday night clashes, the three-week break proved to have a negative impact as their players’ match fitness was questionable. Perhaps after those fixtures, they will be more improved this afternoon and Tambuti being the obvious underdogs, they can stun their giant rivals. They have it in them to come out with shock results against all odds. They achieved same against Leopard in the first round.
