UGANDAN COACH FOR ‘BULL’
MBABANE – Their capital city rivals, Mbabane Swallows, are not the same as last season but they have the hunger for wins and trophies in them.
Eswatini national team Sihlangu and South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs legend Sibusiso ‘Spoko’ Dlamini views this as one determining factor ahead of tomorrow’s blockbuster MTN Premier League second round derby between traditional rivals Mbabane Highlanders and Mbabane Swallows. Dlamini is now head coach of Hhohho Super League side Swazi Sun of Ezulwini.
anticipated
The much-anticipated derby is taking place at Somhlolo National Stadium at 3:30pm. Dlamini was asked to give his view on the match.
“This game is a tricky one because as it stands, they are all at 40 points and all five points less from the summit. But for me, Highlanders is not hungry for trophies, you can see by the way they play. Their game has moments than having consistency in their play.
“Swallows are always hungry for wins and trophies. Look at the way they thrash the so-called small teams. So, if Highlanders want this league, they must win this game and they have to apply a champion performance and convince everyone that they still have it in them,” he said.

He also said that this was the time they needed to come out and show the hunger that in his opinion, has been missing in the team.
“I thought the change of coaches would have an impact as that’s usually the case in most teams,” he added.
The reverse fixture ended 3-1 in Swallows’ favour during the grand opening games last September in the same venue. Preceding it will be Green Mamba against Manzini Wanderers. The former won 0-1 in the first round. Meanwhile, Highlanders were due for a pre-match press conference at lunch time where their captain Xolani ‘Chocco’ Sibandze was due to respond along with interim coach Bongani Mhlongo.
