TONY CALLED ME A BOY – ‘BULL’S VUSI

MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders full-back Vusi ‘Ramos’ Vilakati has broken his silence following his weird reaction in Sunday’s blockbuster Mbabane derby.

The Sihlangu defender had to be pinned down by teammates as he bayed for Mbabane Swallows skipper Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze’s blood during the feisty showdown, which ended goalless at Somhlolo National Stadium. The commotion lasted for about three minutes and it left everyone wondering what was causing the youngster to spiral out of control.

“It all began in the first half. Tony called me a small boy and I told him to withdraw his statement. In reaction to that he pushed me.
“I did not expect Tony to react that way as a senior player. The general reaction of the opponents on the day left much to be desired,” he said.

Vusi apologised to the team’s loyalists, saying he reacted angrily because he was provoked, allaying fears that he was short-tempered.
Some of the accusations levelled against the former Sihlangu skipper cannot be repeated following failed attempts to get him to respond to the allegations. He did not answer his phone when sought for comment. A WhatsApp message was sent to him, but there was no response by late yesterday even though it appeared to have been read (blue ticks).
