MBABANE – “I am not the one to state whether this is wrong or right, club licensing can only sort this issue.”
These were comments by Manzini Sundowns boss Mark Carmichael yesterday.

“This is a concern but it not be addressed by Carmichael alone. There are many stakeholders that need to be involved if we want to reach a common ground with the teams. FIFA, CAF, Eswatini Football Association and the Premier League of Eswatini are all stakeholders that can influence the decision concerning the armed forces. Actually this boils down to club licensing,” Carmichael said.

He also said personal he had no problems with the armed forces have an advantage over other teams.
“It is true that we are all not the same and we cannot run away from that. Generally in life, we can not the same, some are better than others and we have to accept that. This does not happen in the PLE but also occur in the PSL, Spanish Laliga and English Premier League. Some teams will always have better conditions than others,” the Sundowns boss said.

According to reports carried by this publication yesterday, some teams felt the armed forces in Royal Leopard, Green Mamba and Young Buffaloes had unfair advantage over them.

The teams are concerned that the players who are employed by the forces teams are not eligible to play against their employers.
This burning issue will be addressed in a two day PLE retreat slated for Lugogo  Sun starting tonight and expected to end tomorrow.
