MATSAPHA – The Eswatini Tennis Association (ENTA) has donated food parcels to victims of Cyclone Idai which hit hard the northern part of Mozambique.

This was during the SBS Juniors Invitational tournament grand finale at UNESWA, Kwaluseni courts. The food parcels donated by the tennis association were worth E2 500. ENTA President Maxwell Jele said they were aware of the catastrophe after the cyclone in the neighbouring country. “We know that it hit hard in Beira and we have heeded to His Majesty the King’s call to support our neighbours during these trying times,” he said.

Distribution

Jele said they would hand over the food parcels to the Mozambican Tennis Federation which he urged to pass on to the relevant authorities in Mozambique for distribution to the survivors. The president then thanked participants of the invitational tournament, Mozambicans inclusive. “We would like to thank coaches and parents in assisting to develop the sport,” he said. The Mozambican delegation was accompanied by their tennis federation Vice President Jonas Alberto Juwior.
