THE RIGHT ALLY FOR ‘BULL’
(At Lobamba National High School)
LOBAMBA – Mbabane Highlanders loyalists have been assured that South Africa-based businessman Ally Kgomongwe will soon take over the team.
About 40 aggrieved supporters who were led by the ‘old’ Highlanders National Supporters Committee (NSC), which is chaired by Kenneth Dlamini, had converged at Lobamba National High School, where they passed a vote of no confidence on the current leadership.
Emotions were expectedly all over the place, until facilitator in the Ally deal, Benson Dlamini, came with good news. The latter does not deserve introduction in the Highlanders family, as he is one of the patrons and a former secretary.
Dlamini (Benson) was just sitting as an observer among the supporters, when he was asked by the chairman (Kenneth) to shed light on the issue, as he was the person familiar with the deal.
“We’ve agreed that Ally will take over at the end of the season.
“The deal can be concluded anytime from now, as South Africa’s elections, which were keeping him busy, are out of the way,” he said.
Benson said the signing of the deal would be made public and all stakeholders who include the media, would be invited to the signing of the deal, which is set for Pretoria, South Africa.
“Supporters should welcome him with warm hands, as the team is very close to his heart,” he said.
Benson also confirmed to the supporters the imminent exit of the current directors led by astute lawyer Zweli Jele.
After fruitless attempts to come on board in previous seasons, the supporters were assured that almost everything was now in order to usher in Ally.
