LOBAMBA – Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) chairman Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula has warned the organisation affiliates to desist from actions that will create bad publicity for football.

In an interview after handing over the league trophy to MTN league champions, Green Mamba Magagula said Board of Governors members, who were discussing issues in the public domain meant for the Annual General Meeting, were way off side.

“We must know that sponsors want mileage and good behaviour – not bad publicity. As chairman I am disappointed in the way people are now talking about issues that are policies and meant for AGM. Sponsors don’t want this bickering and with the current economic situation in the country we cannot afford to lose sponsors,” Magagula said.

He said most of the sponsors’ representatives he had interacted with, were happy with the way the season had gone.
“As an organisation when sponsors are happy, it means we have achieved our goal. Everybody can attest that the season was tough and very competitive,” he added.
