(At King Zwelithini Stadium)
DURBAN – He is a gem.
That’s is national team, Sihlangu international player Felix Badenhorst who scored his eighth goal in the COSAFA Cup matching long time goal scorer Zimbabwe’s Peter Ndlovu.

The South Africa’s National First Division League Mbombela United player scored the goal that handed him the man of the match award during the 2-all draw against Comoros yesterday. He also scored in the 2-all draw against Mauritius in the opening match on Saturday.

Badenhorst said he could not celebrate scoring the eighth goal in the tournament as the team failed to win the must win match.
‘I am happy for scoring the goal but I could not celebrate as the team did not win the match while we had the chance,” he said.

Badenhorst said they let themselves down as players but failing to win the two opening matches against Mauritius and Comoros.
“It’s now not in our hands and I’m happy that I won the man of the match award but I would have loved to see the team winning and going through to the quarter finals,” he said.
Badenhorst said things did not go as they have planned as they allowed soft goals that cost them the game.
