DURBAN – Sihlangu players Felix Badenhorst and Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa were the only players who impressed in the COSAFA Cup.

A source close to the matter said the players impressed some scouts from Bidvest Wits, who were present for both the games against Mauritius and Comoros.
Badenhorst, who play for South Africa’s First Division League Mbombela United, scored two goals in the tournament each against Mauritius and Comoros while Mbabane Swallows Ndzinisa scored a brilliant goal against Comoros.

“Bidvest Wits is among the teams that indicated their interest in the two players but they are now here with the national team and maybe their teams are yet to be contacted,” said the source.

Felix joined top goalscorer of the COSAFA Cup Zimbabwe Peter Ndlovu on eight goals after scoring the two in this year’s edition. He was also appointed captain of Mbombela United when he joined them last season with Sandile ‘Nkomishi’ Ginindza.
The COSAFA Cup is one of the tournaments that is used by teams to scout players.
